Domaine Paul Autard 2004 Châteauneuf-du-Pape Cuvée La Côte Ronde $55. This is a beautifully structured, well-balanced wine. A supple mouthful of sweet tannins and dangerously delicious fruit, with plenty of extrations. Who need fields of gold when you have a bottle of this?
Quinta Do Vale 2004 Meão Douro $60. Impressive and charming red. It has great black, dark fruit flavors that match the tannins. Your inner flower child demands you try it.
Viña Montes 2004 Alpha M Santa Cruz $95. A harmonious, well-structured wine, with black currant, fig flavors, and a nice, long finish. A great blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. Let this sophisticated wine transport you to the tasting room . . .
