CRA Supports H.J. Res. 99
CRA is working with Rep. Byron Donalds (R-FL) to amend the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act to exempt premium cigars from regulation by the FDA. While CRA's victories in the case against FDA have barred current regulation by the FDA (though FDA has appealed), Rep. Donald's bill, if passed, would protect our industry from re-regulation in the future as well.
Our Legislative Director, Mike Copperman, has been hard at work driving support for the bill, which currently has ten bi-partisan co-sponsors in addition to Rep. Donalds:
